Lumbre Vibra
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This describes how PGBDIC LLC, the Illinois limited liability company that owns and operates Lumbre Vibra (“we”), handles your information, and what we do not do with it.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, and the sign-in data our authentication provider keeps so that you can log in.
- Profile information you provide: your name, your date of birth (other members only ever see your age), your city, photographs, bio, prompt answers, preferences, and cultural and lifestyle details.
- Sensitive information you choose to share: some profile answers — who you are interested in, your faith, your cultural identity — can reveal things like your sexual orientation or religious beliefs. Sharing them is your choice. We use them only to show your profile and to decide who is shown to whom, and other members see only what your profile shows.
- Your activity in the service: the likes, saves, messages, reports and blocks you make, and when you made them.
- Technical data: our hosting provider keeps ordinary request logs — IP address, browser type and the pages requested — which we use to run and secure the service.
- Payment data is handled by Stripe once payments are enabled; we never receive or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To operate the service: show profiles, decide who appears to whom, and enable search and messaging.
- To help protect members: email confirmation, moderation, and preventing fraud and abuse.
- To handle memberships once payments are enabled, and to give you support.
- We do not use your information to advertise to you, and we do not show third-party advertising.
Photographs and location data
A photograph taken on a phone usually carries hidden metadata, and that often includes the exact place it was taken — frequently someone's home.
Before we store any photograph, we re-encode it so that location and camera metadata are removed. If we cannot do that for a particular file, we reject the upload rather than store the original bytes. This is why some formats straight off a phone are refused: we would rather lose the upload than keep your address.
This happens on your device before the image is sent.
We do not use your photographs to identify you. We do not analyze faces or collect biometric identifiers such as face geometry, and we use your photographs only to show your profile and to moderate the service.
How long we keep things
- Messages are deleted after 180 days. This runs automatically every day. The message rows are actually deleted, not hidden — the text is gone, for both people, and we cannot recover it.
- One consequence we would rather state than hide: if you report a message older than 180 days, there may be no message left for a moderator to read.
- Your profile, photographs and matches are kept while your account exists.
- Moderation records — the record that we reviewed something and what we did about it — are kept after the account they concern is gone, with the person's name removed.
- Reports about an account are deleted when that account is deleted. We would rather say this plainly than imply otherwise: if someone deletes their account, the reports other people filed about them go with it. Reports you file are kept, with your identity removed, so a report does not collapse if you leave.
- Your email address and sign-in records are kept while your account exists.
Deleting your account
You can hide your profile at any time from your settings, which removes you from discovery, search and new messages while keeping your account. That is instant and you can undo it.
Deletion is different. Asking us to delete your account opens a request that a person carries out — it is not an instant button, because it destroys data permanently and we check first that we are deleting the right account. Write to hello@lumbrevibra.com and we will confirm when it is done.
When an account is deleted:
- Deleted outright: your profile, your photographs (including the stored image files themselves), your likes, your saves, your blocks, and your membership record.
- Kept, with your name removed: your messages and the conversations they belong to. A conversation belongs to two people, and deleting your account should not reach into someone else's history and delete their side of it. Your messages remain readable to the person you were talking to, attributed to a removed account rather than to you — and they still disappear on the 180-day schedule above.
- Kept, with your name removed: reports you filed, so that a report does not collapse if the reporter leaves, and moderation records about you.
- Kept, as a scrambled form of your email address: if you took a founding-member place, the record of that place stays, identified only by a one-way scramble of your email address rather than by your name or account. It is what stops the same address taking a second founding place by deleting and signing up again. We cannot read your address back out of it, but it is not reversible-proof either: treat it as a disguised version of your email rather than as anonymous.
- Kept, for the same reason: the record that you agreed to the founding subscription terms — the price, the billing period, the trial end date and the date of the first charge you were shown, and when you accepted them. It is also identified only by that scrambled email rather than by your name or account. We keep it because it is the evidence of what you were told before a card was taken. It contains no card details of any kind — no card number, no security code, no expiry date.
- Kept by our payment processor, not by us: if you started a paid or trial subscription, Stripe holds your card and the billing records for it. Deleting your Lumbre Vibra account cancels the subscription so you are not charged afterwards, but it does not erase Stripe's own invoice and payment records, which they are required to keep. Those records are governed by Stripe's privacy policy as well as ours.
- Not affected at all: if you joined the waitlist before you had an account, that is a separate list and your email address stays on it. Deleting your account does not remove it. Ask us in the same message and we will take it off.
We will tell you what will happen to your data before we do it, if you ask.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to know what information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to object to or limit how it is used.
Much of this you can do yourself: edit your profile, hide it, or ask us to delete your account. For anything else, write to hello@lumbrevibra.com from the email address on your account. We will confirm that the request comes from you before acting on it, we will not treat you differently for making it, and if we decline it we will tell you why and, where your law provides one, how to appeal.
What other members cannot see
- Your email address and your date of birth. Other members see your age, never your birthdate, and never your email.
- Whether you are on the free or paid tier. Your plan is private. That is enforced where your information is stored, not merely hidden from view — another member cannot find it out by looking harder.
- That you saved someone. Saving is completely private; the other person is never told.
- That you reported someone, or that you blocked them.
- Your exact location. We use the city you tell us; we do not collect GPS, and we strip location data out of your photographs.
Review profiles, AI profiles and automated messages
- Founder review profiles are fictional. They do not represent any member, only administrators can see them, and they are kept out of member counts. Your information is not used to create them.
- We do not currently run AI or automated profiles, and no automated system reads your messages in order to reply to you.
- If we ever add clearly labeled AI or virtual profiles, what you send to one would have to be processed to produce its replies. Before any such profile appears, we will update this policy to say which provider is involved, what is kept, for how long, and how to have it deleted. Blocking an AI profile will work exactly like blocking a member, and your conversations with real members will not be used to run one without telling you first.
Security and where your data is stored
Your information is stored by our providers in the United States. It is encrypted in transit, access rules in the database stop members from reading each other's private information, and we limit who on our side can see it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Children
Lumbre Vibra is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, tell us at safety@lumbrevibra.com and we will remove it.
Your choices
- Edit or hide your profile at any time.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Choose your language — English or Spanish — at any time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you before it takes effect. The line at the top of this page shows the version you are reading: a date once this policy is in effect, or "Draft" while it is still awaiting acceptance.
